The woman who’s headed a South Coast community college for eight years has announced she plans to retire.
Robin Calote says she’ll step down as President of Ventura College at the end of the current school year.
Calote has guided the college through some rough times, as community colleges statewide, and locally have been hard hit by state budget cuts.
There’s no word yet on the district’s plans to choose a successor.
