In a race which pitted two well known Ventura County residents against each other for a supervisorial seat, incumbent First District Supervisor Steve Bennett defeated longtime Ventura County Fire Chief Bob Roper. Bennett won by a 53% to 47% margin.
And, in an extremely close race, long time Santa Barbara County Supervisor Joni Gray appears to have lost her Fourth District Seat to rancher Peter Adam. Adam led by a 51% to 49% margin, with just over a 500 vote lead over Gray. Gray has been a County Supervisor since 1998.
