A retired school administrator is serving as interim principal of a Ventura County school starting today, after the regular principal was placed on paid leave after his arrest following an off duty altercation.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s investigators say they arrested Gilbert Yoon, after he threatened another motorist during an argument at a gas station in Santa Clarita last week. Yoon is a popular principal at the Rio School District’s Rio Lindo School.
District officials appointed Patrick Fitzgerald to fill in as principal at the school until the issue is resolved. Parents were notified of the change yesterday.
