Alcohol Blamed In Ventura Motorcycle Crash Which Killed One, Injured One

Ventura Police investigators now say alcohol led to a fatal motorcycle crash which killed the driver, and injured the passenger.

Jacob Karluk was southbound on Seward Avenue, near Alessandro Drive October 9th when he lost control of the motorcycle, and hit a guardrail. The 23 year old Ventura man was pronounced dead at the scene. His female passenger escaped with minor injuries. Police are now saying that Karluk had a blood alcohol level of .16 at the time of the crash, double the legal limit, and they are classifying it as a DUI incident.
