A non-profit organization which helps trains workers to strengthen local business has received a $250,000 plus state grant for its programs.
The Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County received the funding to partner with the Workforce Investment Board of Ventura County, and the Ventura County Community College District to connect businesses with local training resources.
The funding will allow the collaborative to provide assistance to more than a dozen businesses, and about 250 workers in Ventura County.
The grant came from the California Employment Training Panel.
