A Santa Barbara County brush fire which caused a big scare Wednesday is now 100% contained.
The Lookout Fire burned 44 acres of brush on San Marcos Pass, just south of Highway 154. Dozens of structures were threatened, but none of them were destroyed, or damaged. More than 300 firefighters, aided by helicopters and air tankers kept the fire from spreading.
Firefighters initially projected containment for 6 p.m. Friday, but were able to complete it by 5 p.m. today.
One firefighter suffered a minor leg injury fighting the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
