A woman who offered to provide loan modification services in Santa Barbara County has been convicted of 15 felony real estate fraud charges, after prosecutors say she embezzled clients money.
Prosecutors say Jessica Lynn Orca pled no contest to 12 counts of grand theft, and three felony counts of engaging in prohibited practices of a foreclosure consultant. A judge has indicated Orca will face a seven year sentence, but due to prison overcrowding, will probably end up spending two years behind bars, with the remainder of the sentence supervised release.
