A local biotech giant is helping some local non-profit groups with grants, as they honor some of the volunteers from the organizations.
Amgen is presenting a grant to Ventura County Animal Services, in honor of Leigh Busse; The Westminster Free Clinic, for Dr. John Sullivan; the Free Clinic of Simi Valley, for Dr. Javier Waksman; and the Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis Foundation, for Henry Woo.
Each of the non-profits will get a $5,000 grant from the Conejo Valley based company.
