A Santa Barbara County man has been convicted of first degree murder for shooting to death another man under orders of a gang leader.
Santa Barbara County prosecutors say Alejandro Carrillo killed Pedro Gonzales in February of 2010. Investigators say he shot the man to death, and then dumped his body a few miles away, in San Luis Obispo County.
In addition to first degree murder, Carrillo was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of narcotics in jail, possession of a weapon in jail, and street gang allegations.
It’s expected he’ll be senteced to life in prison.
