Wanted Felon Arrested In Ventura Following SWAT Team Standoff

Posted on Thursday, October 4, 2012 12:58am

An effort to arrest a wanted felon in Ventura turned into a full blown SWAT team incident.

Ventura Police received information that Pablo Reyes was at a home on the 2200 block of Johnson Drive around 1:15 yesterday. As officers approached the home, the 22 year man tried to flee, but then retreated back inside, and refused to surrender.

Two other people in the house came out, and one of them was arrested on drug charges.

After a more than three hour standoff, SWAT team officers entered the house, and arrested the Ventura man, who was hiding in a bathtub. No one was hurt.

He’s facing nearly a half dozen charges, ranging from being a felon in possession of a weapon, to resisting arrest.
