There’s been yet another brushfire in the Ventura River bottom, in an area that’s had more than a half dozen man made fires coming from homeless camps in recent weeks.
The latest blaze happened at around 8 Tuesday night, near the train trestle over the river. More than 30 Ventura firefighters were able to control the blaze before it could spread past about a quarter of an acre of brush. The rail line was briefly closed, for inspections to insure the trestle was undamaged.
Investigators say the blaze was caused by a fire at a homeless camp in the area.
