Authorities are trying to determine what led to the death of a woman who was diving in the Channel Islands.
The 59 year old woman had gone diving off of Anacapa Island Friday when she floated to the surface, about 15 minutes after beginning her dive.
Efforts by the dive boat’s crew, and a Ventura County Sheriff’s Department helicopter crew member to revive her were unsuccessful.
The woman’s name hasn’t been released.
