Ventura County Community To Look At Efforts To Make City More Business Friendly

Posted on Monday, September 10, 2012 11:48am

A Ventura County community could be launching a new effort to put out the welcome mat for new businesses, as well as making it easier for existing ones to expand.

The Simi Valley City Council tonight is scheduled to look at a proposed 20 point plan which includes producing a regional marketing plan to attract business, streamlining the planning process for new projects, and coming up with a business friendly slogan.

The plan comes in the wake of the city’s loss of its largest employer, Farmers Insurance, which shifted 1200 jobs from the city to other offices in the region.
