A section of Ventura County’s busiest freeway will be completely closed tonight as part of a freeway construction project.
The 101 Freeway will be closed at the Rice Avenue interchange in Oxnard, to allow construction crews to continue their work to remove the support structure from the new freeway overpass.
The closure will be in effect from 11 tonight until 5 a.m. tomorrow, in both directions.
Traffic will be routed off the freeway, and around the construction, so there could be substantial delays.
