A project to renovate the lobby of the Ventura County Pre-Trial Jail facility means it will be closed to all but essential visitors for four days.
The work is set to take place September 18th through 21st. The only visitors who will be allowed during the work are attorneys, or other professionals who have legal access to their clients.
The closure won’t affect regular visiting schedules at the Todd Road Jail, or the East County Jail. County Sheriff’s Department officials say people planning to visit a relative, or friend behind bars should check the jail’s website first to double check their location, and visiting hours at that facility.
