A drop in admissions has led to layoffs by a medical network which operates two hospitals, and a string of clinics in Ventura County.
Community Memorial Health Systems says the more than 30 job cuts include administrative staff, and technicians The non-profit healthcare network has been hard hit by Medicare rules changes, which officials say have led to reduced hospital admissions.
The agency operates Community Memorial Hospital and Ventura, and Ojai Valley Community Hospital.
