Fillmore City Manager Annouces Resignation

Posted on Friday, September 7, 2012 2:47pm

Fillmore’s City Manager has announced she’s leaving the post she’s held for three years.

Yvonne Quiring says she’s stepping down October first, and will take another job in the public sector. She isn’t saying where she’ll be working next. Quiring has been City Manager for three years, and has faced some tough decisions as the city has been forced to cuts staff, and services due to tight funding.

Quiring survived a challenge from some city workers, upset over her budget plans, but in the wake of her announcement, she drew strong praise from Fillmore’s mayor for efforts to keep programs, and services in place in the face of massive funding reductions.
