The ABC television station serving the Tri-Counties is being sold.
Smith Media is selling Santa Barbara based KEYT-TV to the News Press & Gazette Company, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Smith Media, and its predecessor, Smith Broadcasting, owned Channel 3 for a quarter of a century. News Press & Gazette currently owns eight television stations, as well as well as radio stations, and newspapers in the Midwest, and Western U.S.
Included in the deal is MyRTV, a digital station seen in parts of the Tri-Counties with My Network TV, as well as retro television shows.
There’s no word on the purchase price.
