A search is underway for two men who tried to rob an Oxnard store, and shot one of its clerks.
It happened at around 5 p.m. Friday, on the 2000 block of Sturgis Road. The robbers walked into the store as it was closing, and one man pulled out a gun. They demanded money, but then shot one of the clerks.
The two then fled without taking money. The clerk was seriously injured, but survived.
