Posted on Friday, August 10, 2012 12:53am

It’s a little known part of Ventura County history.

Sitting on a military base, behind restricted gates is a 100 year old mansion
designed by an architect who created some of Southern California’s most iconic structures, and built by a family which helped bring everything from ports, to agriculture to the region.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco gives a look at this history of the Bard Mansion, which the public will have the rare chance to tour in a few weeks.
