A Ventura County man is facing more than a half dozen criminal charges, after authorities say he assaulted a woman, and three Sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies were called to the 400 block of Millard Street in Moorpark by reports of a disturbance Saturday night. The first deputy says he arrived to find Michael William Gonzales holding a female victim on the ground. When the deputy tried to intervene, he was hit in the face by the 24-year-old Moorpark man.
Other deputies subdued Gonzales with the use of a Taser, but two of them suffered minor injuries as well. The deputy who was hit in the face was treated, and released at a local hospital.
Gonzales is facing a number of charges, including four counts of resisting arrest using force, criminal threats, domestic volence, battery on a police officer, and false imprisonment.
