A Ventura County Superior Court jury found a member of a street gang guilty of stabbing to death a man at a birthday party outside of Moorpark.
Prosecutors say Isaac Gil and other members of the Non Stop Krew gang attacked people at the June, 2008 party, and that Gil fatally stabbed 18 year old Andrew Singler.
Gil’s attorney unsuccessfully argued that the 22 year old man should be convicted of manslaughter, because he was drunk at the time of the killing, and didn’t realize what he was doing.
The Camarillo man could face 19 years, to life in prison when he’s sentenced in August.
