The latest unemployment numbers show a slight dip statewide, but increases for both Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties.
California went from 10.8% unemployment in May, to 10.7% in June.
But, the numbers slipped on the South Coast. Ventura County went from 8.6% unemployment in May, to 9.2% in June. Santa Barbara County also increased slightly, from 7.4% in May, to 7.9% in June.
Even with the slippage on in the region, the two counties have some of the lowest unemployment numbers in the state. Santa Barbara County is the 5th lowest statewide, while Ventura County ranks 10th.
