LAPD detectives say that a Santa Barbara man being sought for questioning in connection with a series of stabbings of homeless people in Southern California was using a phony name.
Three homeless people have been stabbed since July 4th in Los Angeles, and Santa Monica by a man who left notes at each crime scene, claiming they were ‘death warrants”.
The LAPD, and FBI at first said they were looking at a man named David Ben Keyes, but they are now saying the name which appeared on the notes appears to be phony. Investigators are now identifying the person they’re seeking as Courtney Anthony Robinson. They are still calling Robinson a “person of interest” and are not identifying him as a suspect at this time.
Investigators still say they think the man is from Santa Barbara, and is possibly homeless himself. All three of the stabbing victims are recovering from their injuries.
