It was an unexpected area to find a large scale marijuana growing operation, near one of Ventura County’s largest cities.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit received information leading them to large grove on the 1500 block of Rancho Conejo Boulevard, in Thousand Oaks.
More than 3800 plants were seized, but no arrests were made.
Investigators say the grove was next to a gated neighborhood in the city.
