A computer glitch resulted in Ventura County sending a number of letters with information on property tax assessments to the wrong homeowners.
The County Assessor’s office isn’t sure how many of the notices were sent to the wrong place, but as a precaution they will resend the batch of 25,000 letters.
The information sent out wasn’t confidential, and is a matter of public record.
