A Ventura County community officially has a new police chief today.
Mitch McCann has been sworn in as Simi Valley’s new Police Chief. McCann has been in law enforcement for more than two decades, and was a captain with the Beverly Hills Police Department. He was already a Simi Valley resident, so he’ll be able to work where he lives.
McCann takes over the post vacated by the retirement of Mike Lewis last December.
