A nine year old girl is recovering from a fractured arm, and other injuries after she tumbled down about 20 feet across the face of a rock in Santa Barbara County’s Cold Springs Canyon.
The girl was hiking with her mother at about five Thursday night when she slipped, and fell.
Her mother used a cell phone to call 9-1-1, and Montecito Fire Department paramedics hiked into the area to help.
The girl started to go into shock, so the paramedics called a Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department helicopter.
She was moved to a clearing, and airlifted to Cottage Hospital, in Santa Barbara.
