Plans to change commercial sewage disposal rates in Goleta have created controversy.
The Goleta Sanitary District will hold a special meeting on Monday night to look at the issue.
The District is trying to equalize a big disparity in the current rate structure for offices. However, some building owners are objecting to the plan, which is based on a flat rate structure, instead of actual usage. It could mean massive rate hikes for some customers.
