A citizens group in Santa Barbara County says there are serious traffic safety dangers in one of the region’s main historic districts, and is calling for action to fix the problems.
The group, called Concerned Citizens for Safe Passage, just released a report outlining some of the concerns for pedestrians, and bicyclists on a heavily used section of Mission Canyon Road, near the Santa Barbara Mission, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
More than a dozen organizations, including the Mission and the Museum were involved in the year long study.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco has the story.
