The Los Padres National Forest has imposed a number of fire restrictions effective immediately, because of the hot, dry weather we’ve been having, and the increased potential for brush fires.
No open fires, campfires, are charcoal fires are allowed outside of Forest Service designated recreation, or campfire sites, even with a campfire permit. Smoking is banned in the forest except for in designated campfire areas, vehicles, or buildings. And, internal combustion engines may only be operated on designated trails, or roads. They must be equipped with approved spark arrestors.
