Ventura firefighters were able to quickly knock down a house fire which heavily damaged one home, and threatened some neighboring houses.
The fire was discovered at around 12:30 a.m. today on the 300 block of Plumas Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find flames, and heavy smoke coming from the vacant home. While the fire threatened nearby homes, the firefighters were able to control the blaze before it can spread, and knocked it down in less than 20 minutes.
No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
