A man is dead, after police say he was struck, and killed while trying to cross a busy Ventura street.
Christopher Spilberg was walking with his son along Harbor Boulevard, south of Olivas Park Drive just before 9 Wednesday night.
Police say he tried to cross the street, and was hit by a car. The 34 year old Ventura man died at a hospital shortly after the accident.
Police say there was no crosswalk at the scene, and that the victim was at fault for walking into the road in front of a vehicle.
