A Santa Barbara based foundation has announced nearly $600,000 in grants to 17 non-profit groups in the region.

The Hutton Parker Foundation provided help to nine health and human service agencies, and six arts and culture oriented groups, with grants ranging from $15,000 to $50,000. Among those receiving assistance were the Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center, the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, and the Alzheimer’s Association. The foundation also helps by providing office space for many non-profit groups, by buying, and developing commercial real estate.
