A Simi Valley Police officer suffered a fractured arm when a teenage boy they had taken to a hospital following a domestic dispute became violent, and escaped.
Police had been called to a home on the 3200 block of Waco Avenue around 11:30 Wednesday morning, over reports of a family dispute.
Following a scuffle, they arrested a 17 year boy, and took him to Simi Valley Hospital for treatment of some minor abrasions. Investigators say while the teen was being treated in the ER, he attacked a 50 year old female officer, and fractured her left arm.
The teen then fled the hospital, running several blocks before being taken into custody for a second time.
He’s now at Ventura County Juvenile Hall, being held for resisting arrest, battery on a peace officer, and for a prior narcotics warrant.
