Plans have been announced for a public memorial service for a former Santa Barbara County Supervisor, and environmental activist who died earlier this month.
Naomi Schwartz died June 4th, following complications from surgery.
She was a former schoolteacher who served three terms as county supervisor, and was active in numerous community projects, including environmental and social justice issues.
The event will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 28th at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse’s Sunken Gardens.
Schwartz was 78 years old.
