Authorities this morning are still trying to unravel what they think was a murder-suicide in the Santa Paula area.
Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 17000 block of East Telegraph Road around 10 a.m. yesterday, by reports of a fight in progress. They arrived to find the body of a man lying in the street.
Witnesses reported seeing a man involved in the fight run to a trailer on the 100 block of Ferris Lane. After negotiators unsuccessfully spent hours to make contact with the man, a SWAT team went into the trailer, and found the man inside dead.
Neither of the men have been identified yet, but they say the apparent victim was from Santa Paula.
