A fire in a part of the Los Padres Natioanl Forest in Ventura County is now reported to be fully contained.
The fire started Saturday afternoon in a remote northeastern part of the county, off of Highway 33 near the Lockwood Valley area. Some two dozen campers had to be evacuated.
Firefighters used air tankers, and helicopters to help battle the now more than 300 acre blaze. No homes were damaged, or destroyed. The fire was on both public, and private land. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
