The potential for brush fires exists year around in Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties. But, during the summer, and fall, the danger is even higher.
With rainfall 40 to 60% of average for much of the region this rainfall season, plus hot, and windy conditions, some firefighters say we could be in for a rough high fire season.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports from Newbury Park, where public safety officials gathered to try to fus public attention on the potential threat.
