The CHP is expected to release more information today on the arrest of a man in connection with Summerland traffic accident which left one woman dead, and a second seriously injured.

On Wednesday morning, the two young women were driven to Cottage Hospital with serious injuries, after what at first was reported to be a hit and run accident on East Valley Road, near Stonehouse Lane.

26 year old Allison Meadows died shortly after arriving at Cottage Hospital, and 25 year old Lindsay Keebler was seriously injured. The CHP at first said a good Samaritan drove the two Santa Barbara women to the hospital, and that they were looking for witnesses to what was believed to be a hit and run.

Then, late Friday, they arrested 28 year old L. Tyrone Richardson of Santa Barbara on a vehicular manslaughter charge.
