The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department says an 81 year old Fillmore bicyclist has died, after he was hit by a tractor-trailer rig.
The accident happened just before 8:30 yesterday morning, at the intersection of Ventura, and C Streets in Fillmore. Guadalupe Cruz died at a hospital several hours after the accident.
Investigators say the big rig had stopped at a red light, and started moving again when the light changed green, but hit the bicyclist when he pulled into the truck’s path.
