A political veteran has emerged from a heated war of words to win a spot on the November ballot in the 19th State Senate District race.
Former Assemblywoman Hanna Beth Jackson defeated Ventura County firefighter, and Oxnard Harbor Commissioner Jason Hodge for a spot on the fall ballot. Jackson had 41% of the vote, to Hodge’s 14%.
Republican Mike Stoker was the top vote getter in the race, with 45% of the vote, so it will be Stoker versus Jackson in November.
