A section of the 101 Freeway in Ventura County is going to be completely closed late Monday night, and early Tuesday morning as some of the final work is being done on a multi-million dollar freeway interchange.
The freeway will be closed at about 11:45 p.m. Monday at the Rice Avenue interchange in Oxnard. Southbound traffic will be routed around the work using the new Rice Avenue off-ramp, and on-ramps. Northbound traffic will taken off the freeway at Rice Avenue, and rerouted to the Rose Avenue on-ramp.
The work to adjust the facade for the interchange is expected to take about five hours, with plans calling for the freeway to reopen around 5 a.m. Tuesday.
