A fire truck which happened to be at the right place, at the right time in Ventura saved three young children from a riptide.
The truck was on a routine patrol at Marina Park just after 2 p.m. yesterday when the firefighters noticed three young children caught in a rip current, and being swept out to sea. One of the firefighters was a Fire Department rescue swimmer, who dove into the ocean, and helped get the children back to the beach.
Firefighters, and paramedics assessed the children for injuries, who were shaken up by the incident, but were unhurt.
