Five Arrested in Ventura For Attacking Neighbors Who Asked them To Stop Playing Loud Music at Night

Posted on Thursday, May 24, 2012 2:09pm

Five Ventura men were arrested, after police say they attacked a husband and wife with cinder blocks, and a baseball bat after the couple had asked them to turn down music they were playing loudly.

It happened just before midnight Wednesday, on the 300 block of Arapaho Street in Ventura. Police say the couple had asked their neighbors to turn down their music because they were trying to sleep. The neighbors initially complied, but soon turned it up again.

When one of the neighbors asked for the music to be turned down again, police say he was attacked, and defended himself, but then retreated to his home. Officers say a group of the neighbors then started throwing cinder blocks at the victims house, and entered it, beating the wife and husband.

Police arrested Carlos Padron, Julio Manzano, Guadalupe Padron, Ezekiel Aqueao, and Ernesto Ramirez on assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, and conspiracy charges. The husband and wife were treated for some non-life threatening injuries.
