Two people suffered minor injuries in a massive Oxnard condominium complex fire which left about a third of its 60 units uninhabitable.
The fire was reported just after 11 last night in a complex on the 3100 block of Peninsula Road, near Channel Island Harbor. Firefighters arrived to find smoke pouring from the four story building, but knocked down the fire in a matter of minutes. They rescued a woman, and a pet from the building, but everyone else was able to get out of the building safely. The two injured residents were treated at the scene, and didn’t need to be taken to a hospital.
Two units suffered major damage, while more than a dozen others had different degrees of smoke, or water damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
