Some movie theaters are joining in the efforts to find a film executive last seen May first, at the home of a friend in the Oak Park area.
Gavin Smith was last seen driving away from the home sometime after 9 that night, and hasn’t been seen since. Smith is a 20th Century Fox executive who worked on films like “Titanic” and “Avatar”.
Authorities say there are no signs of foul play, but he or his car haven’t been seen since, and efforts to find him through his cellphone, or credit card usage have been unsuccessful.
The movie theater industry has stepped up to help in the search, with some theaters showing a short public service announcement before movies asking for the public’s health in finding the 57 year old man.
