UC Santa Barbara Police, and Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the discovery of what they say appear to be badly decomposed human remains at UCSB.
The remains were found in a marshy area between the Santa Catalina Residence Hall, and the Santa Ynez Apartments. The area is off the main campus, and just north of Isla Vista.
Investigators aren’t saying if it was a male, or female. They are working to try to determine an identity, and cause of death.
