It’s one of the most congested sections of freeway on the South Coast. Monday, work officially started on a project to add lanes to a six mile stretch of the 101 Freeway near the Ventura-Santa Barbara County line. A carpool lane will be added to each side of the freeway, as the key element in a 100 million dollar plus project.
