Fire Guts Duplex In Summerland

Fire investigators are trying to figure out what caused a blaze which ripped through a duplex in the Summerland area.

The fire was reported just after 5 last night, on the 2300 block of Golden Gate Avenue. Firefighters from the Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Department arrived to find the duplex fully engulfed in flames. They quickly knocked down the fire.

No one was hurt, but four people were left homeless by the blaze.
